2007 Committees
|
Membership Committee:
Chairman: Jon McBride
To recruit prospective members, both regular and affiliate, to join the Association, and to work with other committees in the retention of existing members.
Program & Education Committee:
Chairman: Bob Reeves, Chair
To determine the educational needs of the TMLA members and others engaged in the mortgage lending process, in conjunction with or at the request of other committees of the Association, and to provide timely and invormative educational opportunities to satisfy those needs. To arrange for programs and introduce speakers at the monthly general membership meetings.
Public Relations Committee:
Chairman: Alyson Bosworth
To maintain records of activity of the Association and to develop news releases, announcements, and projects (including community service projects), as well as programs performed during the year. To maintain articles of significant interest and to oversee the submission of the Association's yearbook to MBAC.
Social Committee:
Chairman: Anne Watson, Chair- Julia Woods Co-Chair
Organize all social activities for the membership, including the installation banquet, holiday party, and 10 general membership meetings/luncheons and to negotiate and obtain facilities for such. Coordinate with the Education Committee for monthly educatinoal activities at luncheons.
Legislative Committee:
Chairman: Maggie Black
To keep abreast of all legislative matters on the local, state and national levels as they relate to the mortgage lending inudstry, and to keep TMLA members informed of those matters, recommending any action deemed necessary or worthwhile to TMLA. In addition, to raise money for MACPAC and NCAMP/PAC, political action committees for the Mortgage Bankers Association of the Carolinas and the North Carolina Association of Mortgage Professionals.
